How it got started
Eel Boats started the way most good small businesses start - working on a hobby. In this case the hobby was fishing, but everyone who owns a boat knows being on the boat and being on the water are two separate things. So weekends and winters were spent trouble shooting wacky GPS and faulty wires. One sunny summer day (while taking a very peaceful nap) my chair fell through the deck of my boat. I spent weekends and weeknights gutting and re-furbishing from the hull up. Then my brother-in-law asked if I could look at his trolling motor. And at his battery system. Could I add transom lights? What about a transducer and display? Eventually I realized working on a boat wasn't a half bad way to spend a day...
Anyway - about pages have pictures, so here's a bit of nostalgia.
